Admission/Application Deadlines

Kindergarten:

All NYC families with children born in 2021 are encouraged to apply to kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year.

Here are some key dates you should be aware of as you move through the process: 

  • Tuesday, December 9, 2025: Kindergarten Application Opens  
  • Friday, January 23, 2026: Kindergarten Application Closes  
  • Tuesday March 31, 2026: Kindergarten Offer Release

Grades 1-5: 

If you are interested in applying for student that will be in Elementary Grades 1 to 5 – please fill out an Application Form  and  contact Ms. Gonzalez at agonzalez32@schools.nyc.gov for more information.

Incoming 6th Graders and Middle School: 

For more information on the Middle School Admissions process, visit https://www.schools.nyc.gov/enrollment/enroll-grade-by-grade/middle-school . If your child will be in Middle School in Fall 2026, you should meet your elementary school representatives and find out about your middle school options.

Admission Priorities

Zoned schools will give priority to students who live in that zone, as they have in the past. Schools will make assignments according to the following priorities, listed from highest to lowest:

  • Zoned students with a sibling who will be in grades 1-5 at the school;
  • All other zoned students;
  • Students residing in the school’s district but outside the school’s zone, with a sibling who will be in grades 1-5 at the school;
  • Student residing outside of the school’s district with a sibling who will be in grades 1-5 at the school;
  • All other students residing in the school’s district but outside the school’s zone,
  • All other students.
